Biography
Marcos Garcia-Rojo (Madrid, 1980) is an architect and an educator. He graduated with honors from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in 2006, studied as Affiliate student in the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2002 and was awarded a Master of Sciences in Advanced Architectural Design with distinction for Excellence in Design by Columbia University in 2010. In 2011 he completed a certificated specialization on Applied Architectur Research in the same institution. He has collaborated with different European architectural practices such as Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Lacaton & Vassal Architectes or Solid Arquitectura. As a professor, he has taught at Barnard and Columbia College, GSAPP, assisting Juan Herreros and has also been guest professor at the ETSAM 'Master in Collective Housing' in 2007. Between 2012 and 2017 he was architectural design studio critic at GSAPP's New York / Paris program and studio instructor at Harvard University GSD in 2015. He is currently studio critic at Paris College of Art, principal architect at A U S and PhD candidate at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
