Dr. Marcella de la Torre is the Director of AACSB Administration and the Center for Innovation in the Business of Health Care at the Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas. She earned an Ed.D. in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas, M.A. in Nonprofit Management, and B.A. in International Relations and French from Hamline University. In addition, she completed an Executive Leadership Program and Certificate from Harvard University, a fellowship with the National Hispana Leadership Institute, and a Fellowship with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

Prior to joining the University of St. Thomas, she held leadership positions in quality management, LEAN, medical education, and faculty development at the Alliance of Academic Medical Centers, HealthPartners, and Children's of Minnesota. Dr. de la Torre has been awarded for her leadership and passion in advancing medical education, addressing disparities and equity. She focused her research on the experience of foreign-born physicians in the United States. She currently teaches as a faculty adjunct in the Undergraduate and Graduate courses at the University of St. Thomas.
