After graduating from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design (1st Class Hons), Marc Wood acquired professional design experience at top UK design consultancies including: Lewis Moberly, Michael Peters Group, Coley Porter Bell, Peter Saville Associates, Pentagram, Conran Design PID, and Luxon-Carra. In 1996, Marc Wood was hired as a freelance creative director at Contra, an international integrated creative agency, subsequently becoming a creative partner. In 2002, Marc Wood together with creative copywriter Anne Koski, started his own independent practice Fouchard Wood Design, a boutique design consultancy specialising in identity design and branding.

In the course of his career, Marc Wood has designed and managed design projects for a large variety of international clients, in various fields of industry—from fashion, music and entertainment to cultural and corporate institutions—including Coopers & Lybrand, Marks & Spencers, Pilcher Hershman, Strutt & Parker, Factory communications, (French) Ministère de la Culture, Paul McCartney, Warner Chappell, Warner Music, New Order, Yohji Yamamoto, Peter Gabriel, London Fashion Week, EMI Classical, Jil Sander, SCP, London Designer Show, Pavarotti, Philips, Sega, Thermos, Bosch-Siemens, Storm Model Agency, Wagamama, Smithkline-Beecham, Cummins Wärtsilä, Wärtsilä, Native Design, Alessi, Bowers & Wilkins, Nokia, and Nokia Siemens Networks. Moreover since 2002, collaborating with partnering marketing agencies Command and Housecom, Fouchard Wood has worked for various Finland-based global clients including: UPM, Kone, Innopoli, Sinooperi, Linnanmäki, Pöyry, Ålandsbanken, Itella, Sanofi, Kemira, Ensto, HK Scan, Flodins.
