As a trained chemical laboratory technician, Dr. Marc von Essen has over 20 years of laboratory experience, in which he learned water chemistry from scratch. During his studies, he worked at renowned research institutes to study rivers and seas, which led to his doctorate on the chemical factors responsible for the spread of the cholera pathogen in the Indian Ganges.

By building bridges between different waters, coupled with a great interest in foreign cultures and economics, his first management positions in large laboratory groups as well as international involvement in the areas of water, environmental and food analysis followed. Numerous lectures, seminars, specialist articles and collaborations in Germany, Europe, India, China and Canada culminated in a separate series of lectures at the University of Gdansk, Poland, in spring 2018.

In addition to purely chemical compounds, microbiological parameters are also very important to Mr. von Essen.
