Biography

The King's Fund

Mandip joined The King’s Fund in 2013 and is a Consultant in the Leadership and Organisational Development team. Mandip consults to a number of our open programmes including our flagship Top manager and Athena programmes, as well as commissioned programmes aimed at senior clinical leaders in health care. In her work Mandip draws on system psychodynamic principles to support and develop teams, organisations and systems.

Between 2016 and 2017 Mandip was seconded to Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as an organisational development consultant. This involved supporting both the establishment of the new 0–25 mental health service Forward Thinking Birmingham and maternity transformation across the Birmingham and Solihull sustainability and transformation partnership working towards a single maternity service.

Mandip is passionate about diversity, inclusion and fair representation in the NHS workforce and has written about this issue for the Fund.

Mandip studied law at Lancaster University, has trained as a facilitator with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a certificate in counselling and psychotherapy skills from Westminster Pastoral Foundation. She is also trained in numerous psychometric tools used to support development as well as being a trained action learning set facilitator and an executive coach.

Before joining the Fund in 2013, Mandip worked as a policy adviser at the Department of Energy and Climate Change; as a policy adviser at the Royal College of Nursing; and as a policy manager at NHS providers. She has also worked as a policy officer at the Human Tissue Authority.
