The Scheller College of Business

Dr. Gopal is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Tech. Her research interests lie in financial intermediation and corporate finance. She studies business lending in the U.S. with a special focus on the role of nonbanks in small business lending. She teaches a course on the management of financial institutions at Scheller.

Dr. Gopal received her Ph.D. in Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University in May 2020, where she received the Lawrence G. Goldberg Prize for the Best Dissertation in Financial Intermediation. Prior to the start of her Ph.D., she graduated with a Masters degree in Economics and an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India.
