Georgia Makridou is the Assistant Director of the Research Centre for Energy Management at ESCP Europe Business School where she holds the position of Affiliate Professor.

Georgia holds a PhD in Energy Economics (Technical University of Crete, Greece). She also holds an MSc in Business Administration (2011) from the School of Production Engineering and Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering (2009) from the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete.

Since 2013, she has been working as a Visiting Lecturer at ESCP Europe. She has been teaching courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in “Computer Skills”, “Fundamentals of Mathematics”, “Research Methods” and “Energy Policy”.

Georgia's research interests include the evaluation of the EU energy markets on the country and firm levels using sophisticated econometric and multi-criteria methodologies. Her work has been published in international energy-related Journals (Energy Journal, Energy Policy, European Journal of Operational Research), and has been presented in recognised conferences world-wide.

She acts as a reviewer for a number of academic journals related to energy issues. Georgia is also a member in various professional and academic associations such as the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), Financial Engineering and Banking Society (F.E.B.S.), and Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE).
