Biography

-

Lynn’s work is based on subjects that are personal or autobiographical and that explore themes of presence and absence. She works from common objects or subjects that are transformed by inner and unconscious associations triggered in the process of creating them. She distills her subjects until the essential elements of the image convey a sense of intimacy and personal history.

Her paintings have been exhibited at the OK Harris Gallery, NYC, Kleinert/James Art Center, Woodstock, NY, the Muroff Kotler Visual Arts Gallery at SUNY Ulster, the Salena Gallery, Brooklyn, and the Drawing Biennial at the Muscarelle Art Museum, Williamsburg, Virginia. She is represented by the BCB Art gallery in Hudson, NY.

After graduating from Drexel University in Philadelphia, she moved to New York City where she designed album covers and book jackets during the day and took night classes in painting at the School of Visual Arts.
