Lucia Nazzaro

Lucia is a professor and expert in the areas of individual and societal wellbeing. Her passion is in making information accessible and providing people with stories and solutions to help them find their story of well, both individually and as a society.

Armed with a Masters degree from Boston University's Graduate School of Clinical Social Work with a focus in psychotherapy and social issues, as well as a Master's from Emerson College in Media Studies, Lucia has long combined professional experience and high-level education to form an expertise in a variety of health, wellness and social issues. Lucia specifically has focused her training while in school on issues pertaining to resilience in the face of adversity and prevention and intervention methods. She also has focused on cognitive behavioral therapy and narrative therapy and changing the stories we tell ourselves and others in order to live life truly well.

In addition to her professional training, Lucia has spoken nationwide on the power of stories and tangible solutions and advocates on a variety of behavioral, social, and lifestyle modification topics. She is a volunteer with organizations like the Eating Disorder Coalition, where she lobbied Congress to fight for mental health parity laws and continues to be an advocate for various legislative issues. Additionally, Lucia has worked in education and outreach to individuals and families on a variety of wellness issues, including enhancing healthy coping skills. She is the former National Director of Education and Outreach for prior NBA player Chris Herren's company Herren Project where she managed programs for over 600 school sites nationwide, as well as worked on a substance abuse and social-emotional skills building program with the State of Massachusetts and GE. ​

Lucia is now a professor, expert and media creator. She co-founded the company and site, WellSeekers which provides stories and solutions to help you rise and comeback to your story of well. She also is the host of WellSeekers w/ Lucia and Lucia at Night, and a contributor and producer for many national outlets, sites and shows.
