Following a career as a hospital consultant Liz entered the senior management of the NHS, as the Dean Director of the London Deanery. She has direct experience of career change, balancing family with work, senior management, the leadership of change and the nurturing and development of talent at all levels.

It was through her senior leadership role that she came to coaching, first within the NHS (where she was the winner of the NHS Leadership Award: Mentor of the Year 2010) and now as a full-time coach to people dealing with a wide diversity of career challenges.

  • OBE for services to medicine, 2011
  • Visiting professor in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at University College London and in Lord Darzi’s Unit at Imperial College London
  • Chair of the Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans of the UK 2006 to 2008
  • Published on doctors in difficulty, workplace bullying, women in medicine and other aspects of medical careers
  • Chair of several committees, including the Case Committee of the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund, the London
  • Dental Education Centre Board and the North West London Integrated Care Pilot
  • Originated, developed and led several significant changes in the NHS, including the ‘hospital at night’ concept and the National Trainee Survey
