DePaul University

At DePaul, Dr. Sedor teaches introductory and advanced auditing, an area in which she has extensive professional experience. She is an award-winning educator who has been recognized for teaching excellence throughout her academic career. Dr. Sedor has been awarded the Driehaus College of Business Lawrence W. Ryan Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and the Quality of Instruction Council Excellence in Teaching Awards at DePaul. Dr. Sedor has also received the Gerald D. Paetsch Academic Advising Award in recognition of her dedication to and mentorship of students.

Dr. Sedor's research focuses on cognitive psychology applied in financial reporting and disclosure contexts. She is an award-winning scholar whose research has been published in prestigious academic journals including: The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research and Behavioral Research in Accounting. Prior to joining the faculty in the School of Accountancy & MIS, Dr. Sedor was a faculty member at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Washington.​
