With an expertise in both marketing and sustainable business strategies, Dr. Linda Crosby is an Associate Department Chair for the Donald W. Maine College of Business. In this role she works with the Marketing Department developing curriculum, hiring and assigning faculty, and creating online master courses in Marketing and Sustainable Business. Dr. Crosby is also an Assistant Professor of Marketing, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing strategy, professional selling, consumer behavior, and branding. Further, Professor Crosby mentors the University’s Marketing internship students, overseeing their progress and coaching them as they near graduation. Dr. Crosby also serves as a faculty advisor for the University’s American Marketing Associate, Collegiate Chapter, at Davenport University.

Professor Crosby worked in a variety of marketing roles, including marketing manager, promotions manager, and sales representative for both business to business and business to consumer companies. She worked with Fortune 500 companies and small and medium-sized companies developing promotional strategies in a variety of industries. Dr. Crosby began teaching for the University, as an adjunct faculty, while working in the marketing field. Prior to transitioning to her current academic role, Professor Crosby worked as faculty development manager, where she trained and developed new and existing adjunct faculty. Dr. Crosby’s research has been in sustainable business, where she studied leadership strategies of West Michigan small and medium-sized businesses.

Dr. Crosby is a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA). In her role as faculty advisor for the University’s Collegiate AMA chapter, Professor Crosby works with student leaders to sponsor marketing events to the Donald W. Maine College of Business students. These activities have included guest speakers, career building events, and community service outreach. Professor Crosby has a passion for community outreach, focusing on at-risk youth. She has been a member for the Grand Rapids Rotary STRIVE program, serving as a mentor to high school juniors and seniors, for a number of years.
