Leslie Day

With more than 20 years in the field of Human Resources management consulting, Leslie L. Day, SPHR, has helped hundreds of companies and organizations solve problems and implement personnel and human resources programs that work.

As the Director of Human Resource Consulting Services for Precision Human Resources, she provides cost-effective HR strategies and solutions for small- to mid-sized organizations, as well as HR projects for larger organizations.

Leslie has gained experience in employment and consulting in various industries such as manufacturing and assembly, construction, paper, plastic, shipbuilding, healthcare, banking, insurance, non-profits and the public sector. She assists companies in all the areas associated with human resources, including HR legal compliance, staffing systems, training, compensation, benefits, HR “best practices” and lawsuit/claim avoidance. She has also worked in HR management positions in a hands-on capacity in both union and non-union environments. She performs specialty projects in many areas, including Wage & Hour Compliance, Employee Handbook and Policy Manuals, HR Audits and Safety Walk-Through Audits, and performs on-site HR investigations.

Precision Human Resources is a division of Precision Payroll of America. Precision Payroll and Precision HR were selected in 2007 and 2008 as part of the “Top 20 Places to Work in Illinois” by the Business Ledger Newspaper and the Illinois Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). For the past eleven years, Leslie has been a part-time Adjunct Instructor for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) Certificate Program at DePaul University. She also leads seminars and workshops for DePaul University and the College of DuPage.

A graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Business degree in Personnel and Industrial Relations, she has also been accredited as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), the highest generalist human resources certification available, by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Leslie is a member of numerous organizations, including SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), and has been on the Board of Directors for the DuPage and Oakbrook SHRM chapters. She was selected by the Chicago suburban Business Ledger Newspaper for their “Influential Women in Business” award in 2005.
