UCL School of Management

Lei Liu is a Research Associate in the Strategy & Entrepreneurship group at UCL School of Management. Before joining UCL, she received a B.A. in Economics with distinction from Nanjing Normal University, where she won the National Scholarship of China. She also holds an M.Sc. in Management with distinction and an M.Sc. in Economics with high merit both from the London School of Economics. Lei received a Ph.D. in Management Science (Organisations and Innovation) from UCL School of Management in Jan 2021.

Lei is interested in the effects of social networks on individuals’ cognitions, affect, behaviors, and the associated individual and organizational outcomes. Lei is now leading a large-scale quantitative project, in which she and her collaborators use a social network perspective to investigate the collaborations between NHS and third-sector organizations (charities, non-governmental, and voluntary organizations). This project is part of the research program on cross-sector innovations funded by UK Research Innovation (Principal Investigator: Dr. Angela Aristidou).
