Lea Anne Law, APR, MS, CCMEP is the Director for healthcare initiatives for graduate and executive education programs at The University of Tennessee (UT) in Knoxville. She is responsible for the design and delivery of open-enrollment courses and custom-designed education and training for clients in healthcare settings. Law has served the university for 25 years, previously, as the Director for Communications & Outreach at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Graduate School of Medicine and as Marketing Manager for UT, Knoxville’s University Outreach and Continuing Education.

In 2008, Law was named a Certified Continuing Medical Education Professional (CCMEP) by the National Commission for Certification of CME Professional, Inc. in the first national cohort to meet testing standards. The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) approved her in 2009 as a national site surveyor for CME providers seeking re-accreditation. She has been a member of the Alliance for Continuing Education for the Health Professions since 2004.

Law is accredited in the practice of public relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America, Washington, D.C. While at UT, Law has been recipient of more than 90 international, national, and regional awards for publication management, strategic planning, writing, and creative campaigns.

Law holds a B.S. in Communications and M.S. in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee. She was elected by the faculty of the UT College of Communication and Information Sciences as one of four inductees to the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Law received the 201l, 2012, and 2013 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Executive Education. She was awarded a 2013 Love of Learning grant from Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Law is one of ten nominees for the community 2014 Athena Award, a national program recognizing women leaders.
