Biography
Professor Lawrence Robinson is professor of operations, technology and information management at the Johnson Graduate School of Management. His research focuses on problems of operating in an uncertain environment; in particular, on developing practical heuristic policies that perform well and can be easily calculated. His research interests comprise inventory management, booking limits for discount-fare airline passengers, and scheduling doctor''s appointments. He has published in a variety of journals, including Operations Research, Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Operations Research Letters, and Production and Operations Management. He has been a Mobil Scholar, and has twice received the Executive MBA Globe Award for teaching excellence.
