Biography
Said Business School
Ho-Yin has an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, and Master's and Doctoral degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
Prior to joining Saïd Business School in 2015, he served on the faculty of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology for six years, where he was recognised with the Top Ten Lecturers Award and the School Teaching Excellence Award.
In 2019, Ho-Yin was recognised as one of the 'Best 40 under 40 Professors' by Poets & Quants.
Alongside his role at Saïd Business School, Ho-Yin is a Fellow at St Cross College, Oxford.
Research
Ho-Yin's research aims to tackle operations management and planning problems using tools of operations research and economics.
He has a particular interest in the domain areas of (energy and environmental) sustainability, supply chain management, and health care operations. Ho-Yin's research in these areas have been published in premier journals, such as Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and recognised with research awards, such as the INFORMS Energy, Natural Resources and Environment Young Researcher Prize.
Teaching
Ho-Yin currently teaches the Analytics core course to MBA students
Prior to joining Saïd Business School, Ho-Yin also taught courses in Management Science, Supply Chain Optimization, Logistics Planning and Service Management at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels at the University of California at Berkeley and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
