Experience

Laura has facilitated leader, team and organizational development in Spanish, French, and English across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East since 1988. She joined CCL in 2003 after 14 years in a similar role for TEAM INTERNATIONAL, a licensed CCL Network Associate in Mexico serving Latin America. Her international consulting business has offered individual, team and organizational solutions for increasing effectiveness in diverse sectors: public, private, educational, governmental and family owned business. Laura brings global experience to her clients informed by developing leaders across many cultures, by years of expatriate management assignments, by founding and directing a nonprofit center abroad, and by living in Mexico and France for 18 years. As Lead Faculty of the CCL Financial Vertical she has partnered with global financial institutions in the design and delivery of leadership solutions which leverage classroom learning back to the workplace, sustains development, and extends the learning community beyond the classroom. She has served as an Executive Coach since 1990.

Current Role

Laura is Global Solutions Faculty with the Center for Creative Leadership. She serves as lead faculty working closely with key global clients to design and deliver customized initiatives across sectors, cultures, and languages. These complex designs reflect intentional architecture to make the value of development visible utilizing post classroom technology and face-to-face solutions which invite vertical development and can influence organizational culture. Laura works extensively with Senior Leadership teams in their development, as well as with women and their networks. Her current research focuses on the organizational / cultural contexts and challenges facing women leaders.

Educational Background

Laura holds a Doctorate from Antioch’s Leadership and Change Ph.D. Program, having earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and her M.S. in Management and Organizational Development from the United States International University, Mexico City. She is certified as a Mind/Body Wellness Instructor by the American Council on Exercise.

Publications and Professional Affiliations

As an author she has contributed to Integral Leadership Review, forbes.com, and CCL publications in the areas of Cultural Agility, Women in Leadership, Feedback Intensive Programs, Integral Development, and Sustaining Development. As a researcher and speaker, Laura regularly presents her findings on the process and impact of leader (ship) development at international conferences, and presents the CCL Webinar on Developing Women Leaders. She served as the elected 2011 Chair of the Leadership Development Group for the International Leadership Association (ILA), is moderator and convener of cross organizational collaborative panel discussions at ILA’s first South American Conference (2016) and serves on ILA proposal review selection committees. Laura is a Past-President of the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra Board, and serves on the Board of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
