Bio

Kristin Hansen, Lecturer in Communications, has also previously served as a course instructor in the Stanford School of Engineering’s Technical Communications Program and as a communications coach for the GSB’s 1st-year MBAs and LOWkeynotes program participants. 

A longtime marketing and communications executive in the tech sector, Kristin currently works in Intel’s Data Center Solutions Group.  Previous roles include Chief Marketing Officer of Micromuse, Chief Marketing Officer of Bright Computing, and various executive marketing roles in IBM’s Software Group. 

Throughout her career, Kristin has developed and delivered a broad range of executive-level communications for business activities ranging from investor conferences and M&A announcements to annual sales kickoffs and product launches.  Coaching and preparing other executives to put their “best foot forward” when addressing investors, customers, and employees has been a unifying aspect of her career to date.

Kristin obtained her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and her joint BA / MA from Stanford University.  After many years living and working in London and San Francisco, she currently resides in Menlo Park, California with her husband and two elementary school-aged children.
