Presentation
I am part of the Sapere Aude research project ‘Crowd Dynamics in Financial Markets’ leaded by Christian Borch. My research focuses on crowd discourse in academic and popular financial market literature from 1930 up to today. The project is an archival study, in the foucauldian genealogical sense, and draws on crowd psychology and theory to understand collective behavior and dynamics in financial markets. In addition to the study of the literature on financial markets, depictions of crowds in twentieth century literary fiction will function as a nuancing lens through which the collective dynamics in financial markets are observed.
