Experience

Kristen has devoted her professional career to education, learning and development. Trained in Industrial Organizational Psychology, she brings a unique blend of measurement and assessment rigor with deep insight of human and organizational dynamics. As such, she recognizes that real solutions must be more than idealistic thoughts on a PowerPoint slide. She embraces authentic partnership with all of her clients and is never afraid to roll up her sleeves to do the hard work, uncover root causes of issues and achieve breakthrough results…embracing a little humor along the way.

Before joining CCL, Kristen spent nine years working within the U.S. Intelligence Community, focusing on leadership and organizational development for leaders at all levels within every branch of the military, and various government agencies. She led the School of Leadership and Management at the Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado (ADF-C), which served 4,000 military, government civilian, and contract employees and teams. Kristen’s last position at the ADF-C was on the executive leadership team as senior technical advisor, partnering and serving with leaders throughout the Department of Defense to inspire collaboration and information sharing across boundaries—big and small.

Current Role

Kristen is Senior Faculty at the CCL Colorado Springs Campus. In this role she works with a variety of custom clients, designing leadership solutions to address individual, team, and organizational needs. Her clients represent various industries with a focus on food manufacturing, retail, engineering, oil and gas, and energy. Kristen has niche specialities in Servant Leadership, Leadership Agility, Resiliency, Strategic Leadership, and Experience-Driven Leadership Development. She is known for creating program designs that are truly customized for the unique needs of her clients and that are creative, relevant, and highly engaging. She embraces the 70-20-10 framework for adult learning, utilizing a blended learning approach when appropriate, in order to provide sustainable business impact.

Educational Background

Kristen received her Bachelors of Science degree in Education from the University of Maryland. Her Masters of Arts is in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado. She received her leadership coaching certification from Georgetown University. Kristen served as Adjunct Faculty within the Psychology Department at the University of Colorado at Denver, teaching Undergraduate Statistics, the Psychology of Cultural Diversity, and Industrial Psychology.
