Booth School of Business

Kipp Martin conducts research on incorporating Web technologies and Web services into mathematical modeling process, symbolic optimization, polyhedral combinatorics, methods for large scale optimization, and bundle pricing models. He has published in Management Science, Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, and The INFORMS Journal of Computing. He is also the author of "The Essential Guide to Internet BusinessTechnology" by Prentice Hall (2002) written with G. Honda; and "Large Scale Linear and Integer Optimization: A Unified Approach" from Kluwer Academic Publishers in 1999. He joined the Chicago Booth faculty in 1980.

Martin has done consulting work for Joseph T. Ryerson & Son Inc., General Motors, General Electric, and Travel Analytics. His research has been sponsored by such companies as Procter & Gamble, General Motors, and General Electric.

He earned a bachelor''s degree in 1975, an MBA in 1979, and a PhD in 1980, all from the University of Cincinnati.

Other Interests

Backpacking in the Southwest; following the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Bulls; listening to East Coast DooWop; long runs in Hawaii.
