Kimberly Hudson, MSW, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Social Service at Fordham University. Before joining Fordham, Dr. Hudson was a Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU. Dr. Hudson’s primary areas of interest include: health equity and access to care among LGBTQ+ communities; experiences in health care settings, with special attention the intersectionality of racism, heterosexism, cissexism, and structural vulnerabilities; and supports and barriers for LGBTQ-affirming policy and practice in service settings. Integrating her research and teaching specializations, Dr. Hudson’s scholarship also focuses on social justice education at the master’s and doctoral level, with the aim of training advocacy-oriented practitioners, educators, and scholars. She currently teaches Integrating Human Rights and Justice in Practice and Social Work Practice with Organizations and Communities.
