Dr. Simon is a Harvard-trained Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Dr. Simon completed concurrent fellowships in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital / Harvard Medical School. Dr. Simon is a Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Health Policy at Harvard University.
He graduated from SIU School of Medicine. He completed a general psychiatry residency in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Simon has received numerous awards in recognition of leadership and service, including the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award and his work has been funded by SAMHSA, National Institute of Health, and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.
His writings on mental health, diversity, and equity are published in leading journals, including Health Affairs, the American Journal of Public Health, and New England Journal of Medicine to name a few. Dr. Simon's thoughts are regularly sought by national audiences, Fortune 500 corporations, and featured on ABC News and NPR.
