Kenneth Kambara

Associate Professor, Associate Chair of Graduate Studies at LIM College

Biography

A social media and marketing research consultant, Dr. Kambara’s areas of interest include brand management, entrepreneurship, and social media. At LIM, he has taught courses in the Marketing, Management, and Finance Departments. At the graduate level, his courses include Technology and Fashion Merchandising and Management, Digital Merchandising, and Consumer Behavior in Fashion.

Dr. Kambara has presented at the American Sociology Association—in the Communications, Information Technology, and Media Sociology (CITAMS) section and the Economic Sociology section—as well as at the American Marketing Association and Association for Consumer Research conferences. His work has been published in the Journal of Brand Management, The Journal of Academic and Business Ethics, and Critical Studies in Men’s Fashion. Additionally, he has co-authored frequently cited surveys on the buying habits of Millennials and Gen Z.

Dr. Kambara holds a Ph.D. in Management from The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California at Irvine and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business. He also received two bachelor’s degrees—in Business Administration-Marketing and in Economics—from California State University, Long Beach.

Having joined LIM College as an Adjunct Professor in 2012, Dr. Kambara was hired full-time as an Assistant Professor in 2013 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2016. In 2019, he became Associate Chair of LIM's Center for Graduate Studies.
