Kate Rubin

Katie Rubin's Acting Classes aim to create a safe, intimate, challenging environment, which will nurture a deep dive into the craft, practice, and art of Acting. These classes are designed to train actors who want to develop their range, know themselves more deeply, and expand their potential. Katie has been a working Acting Coach, both privately and with groups, for 15 years, and is committed to nurturing serious actors, of all levels, in the development of themselves, and their craft. The nature of the work for each actor is individualized and unique, just as each person is individualized and unique. There is no cookie-cutter formula used, but tools and practices are pulled from the work of all of the following: Meisner, Stanislavsky, Wynn Handman, Uta Hagen, Michael Chekhov. Katie intentionally limits all of her classes to twelve (12) actors in order to guarantee that every actor works every week.

Stanford University Katie regularly teaches Acting, Improv and Stand Up classes through Stanford's Continuing Studies Program.

This fall, Katie is teaching "Improv to Improve: Artful Skills to Build or Lead Your Business." This winter, Katie is teaching her class "Acting for Business" at Stanford. More information here.
