Karyn McCoy

Adjunct Professor

Biography

I am excited to be part of the University Advancement team at St. Thomas. In my role, I lead three areas: alumni engagement, career development and corporate partnership. Our team looks for intersections in these areas to drive meaningful engagement and connections with alumni, employers, and industry partners as a way to elevate the career success of students, advance the university’s goals, and contribute to the communities in which we live and work.

Prior to joining St. Thomas, I spent nearly 11 years at DePaul University where I enjoyed a variety of roles in the Career Center. I’m passionate about helping people find their true paths, and I am excited to bring my years of experience to bear on the Tommie Network!

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I’m thrilled to have landed in Minneapolis alongside other family members who call this community home. In my free time, I enjoy traveling (I have been to 45 states and about 30 countries), am fueled by learning (I take random classes that feed my curiosity), am an amateur photographer, love to read, want to visit all the national parks someday, and love being out in nature.
