Wagner Graduate School of Public Service
Karen A. Scott is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management and Senior Fellow at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Previously, Scott worked as the Vice President for Quality and Patient Safety at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she was responsible for developing and leading clinical quality improvement and patient safety work across the five hospital campuses of the Columbia and Cornell Medical Schools. She also served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the New York City Health and Hospitals in charge of quality improvement initiatives and as Vice President of the Commonwealth Fund.
Karen received her B.A. in History of Science from Harvard University, M.P.H from Johns Hopkins University, and M.D. from Cornell University Medical College.
