Julie Laven

Julie is the recruiting operations director of The DEJ Group LLC, an executive search and recruiting firm dedicated to uncovering the real needs of organizations and bringing forward a diverse set of candidates with an array of backgrounds and experiences. The company focuses on increase the economic inclusion of people from underrepresented communities through employment. For almost 10 years, Julie has held roles within the nonprofit sector that create efficiencies in operations so that people and organizations can grow and reach their full potential. She has a passion for social impact and for seeing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. In her free time, she loves being active in the community, as well as baking, hiking, and camping. Julie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management. She has worked for several companies in the Twin Cities, Denver, and El Salvador.
