Stanford Continuing Studies
Julie Lanz is a certified specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and a Northern California Super Lawyer in estate planning and probate (2015-2019). She helps her clients take care of their loved ones with the following estate planning tools:
- Comprehensive estate plans
- Revocable living trusts
- Wills
- Annual exclusion gift programs
- Generation-skipping or “dynasty” trusts
- Powers of attorney for asset management
- Advance directives for health care
Julie also assists clients with trust administration and probate.
Julie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from the University of Washington. She practiced with Cooley Godward in Palo Alto and Carr, McClellan, Ingersoll, Thompson & Horn in Burlingame before launching Lanz Legal.
Julie has taught "Estate Planning in Plain English" through Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program since 2015, a one-day seminar in estate planning for non-lawyers.
Julie speaks to groups large and small about estate planning topics such as estate planning basics, wills and trusts, planning for young families, and planning for seniors.
