Professor Starr is a clinical associate Professor of physical therapy at Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Her scholarly and practice interests include acute care physical therapy, cardiovascular and pulmonary care (especially cardiac surgical outcomes), chronic lung disease treatment, and the epidemiology of world wide lung diseases. She was the 2006 winner of the Whitney Powers Award for Teaching Excellence from BU’s Sargent College. Professor Starr is both a Board Certified cardiopulmonary Clinical Specialist as well as certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
