Julian Troian

Julian Troian, Adjunct Professor of Strategic Human Resources Management since 2014, graduated in Economics and Banking Sciences at University of Udine. Initially working in Paris at the Headquarters of Banque Sudameris he first discovered the importance of keeping and nurturing talent in organizations. Next he moved to Milan at the Bank’s mother company Intesa San Paolo where he joined the HR & Organization team in the Foreign Banks Division, developing Leadership Development programs for the newly acquired banks and supporting the Due Diligence team for new acquisitions.

Based in Udine, Julian accepted the role of HR Director Europe at Snaidero, 4th European manufacturer of high end furniture. He then became HR and Organization Director of Stroili Oro Group, the largest jewelry chain in Europe with 400 direct stores where he led the training and re-engagement program of store personnel. Working in Luxembourg since 2010, Julian has been HR Director EMEA at Ampacet Corporation taking care of leadership development, strategic recruitment, personnel well-being, organization analysis and re-design focusing on creating a working environment where intrinsic motivation was the key for success.

Julian is now Agile Coach at ING Luxembourg after serving as the Deputy General Manger and Head of Human Resources-International Operations at Tosaf compounds from 2017-2020, and as HR Director and Chief Happiness Officer of Etix Group from 2014-2017. He has held senior HR Roles in Industrial Multinationals, Private Equity owned companies, Retail Business and Banking, always focusing on the science of motivation, engagement, leadership development, personnel well-being, organization analysis and re-design.

The Luxembourg HR Community has awarded him with the HR Manager of the Year and Best HR Team of the Year awards for his innovative and effective approach to people engagement and wellbeing at work at the HR ONE gala in 2016

Julian is also Adjunct Professor at SDA Bocconi Business School in Milan (where he lectures MBA and Executive MBA Students on Engagement, Leadership and Strategic Human Resources Management) and is fluent in 5 languages (Italian, English, German, French and Spanish).
