Juan Manuel Elorduy is an Emeritus Professor of Strategic Management. He joined the IESE faculty in 1966 after working as a visiting professor in the areas of marketing and production since 1958. He has held several management positions since he started working at IESE, such as in the Secretariat General of the IESE Board during the terms of Antonio Valero Vicente and Juan Ginebra Torra.

In the early 1970s, Prof. Elorduy prepared and taught a course on the "Responsibilities inherent to management activity with regard to ethics in companies." He taught in several Executive Education programs in Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Galicia and Oviedo, among others, and in MBA programs. He was one of the first professors to teach sessions at IAE (Argentina) and IPADE (Mexico) and was also one of the first professors to teach sessions at HCMS in Moscow (Russia) as part of the European Union''s Technical Assistance to the Commonwealth of Independent States program (TACIS), an innovative program started in 1992 for Central and Eastern European countries similar to the International Faculty Development Program (IFDP).
