Juan Florin

Dr Florin holds a BA in Economics, an MBA from the University of Illinois, and a PhD in Business from the University of Connecticut. His publications in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Human Relations, Journal of Management Education, Strategic Change, Multinational Business Review, and Venture Capital focus on startups, high growth technology ventures, new venture finance, IPOs, founder performance, alliance strategy, and international business. His teaching experience spans 15 years and focuses on Entrepreneurship, Technology Strategy and Global Strategy at the Undergraduate, Masters and Executive levels, most recently at the U. of New Hampshire School of Business and Economics. Prior to starting his academic career, Dr Florin had 15 years of international business and corporate entrepreneurship experience in consumer and household durable goods, and more recently, small business startup. He is a small businesses development consultant, angel investor, SCORE mentor, and Director at a community nonprofit.
