Joshua Ehrig is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Management at Lehigh University. Professor Ehrig has created and taught various courses focusing on Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Innovation, applying active-entrepreneurial mindset learning and metacognition techniques. His teaching contributions have been recognized by his students and colleagues as a recipient of both the undergraduate College of Business Teaching Excellence and Flex MBA Excellence in Teaching awards.

Professor Ehrig has shaped curriculum and outreach initiatives at Lehigh University in conjunction with: Start-up Academy; Lehigh @ NasdaqCenter; Innovator’s Alliance; Computer Science and Business (CSB); Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship/Hatchery; Technical Entrepreneurship (TE); Vistex Executive Education; Global Village; Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Immersion; National Science Foundation (NSF) iCorps; Mountaintop Initiative; Master’s in Management (M2); 1-MBA program; Flex MBA; Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD); Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) amongst others.

He has been the recipient of multiple fellowships including the Center for Innovation and Learning (CITL), KEEN engineering education, and the College of Business Innovation Grant. In addition, he has served interim leadership capacities as an Assistant Dean in the Graduate Programs Office and as an Entrepreneurship Minor Director.

Beyond his role at Lehigh, Professor Ehrig has advised and coached various technology companies with a current focus on education and health/wellness. He has been a guest speaker, mentor, reviewer at various accelerators, incubators, and universities in both domestic and international capacities. He also develops intrapreneurial and innovation strategies for large organizations.

Previously, Professor Ehrig co-founded multiple technology companies ranging from mobile coupon to big-data enterprise platforms. In this capacity, he was involved in everything from Day 1 to acquisition. He also served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, guest panelist, and speaker for various events. Prior to these endeavors, he worked in management consulting and retail/investment banking.

Professor Ehrig has degrees in Economics, Political Science, and History from Lehigh University where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma and was a Presidential Scholar. He completed Executive Education at MIT-Sloan, Continuing Education at Harvard and the Lean Launchpad program at UC Berkeley.
