Biography

Joe Silich heads The Silich Group at Morgan Stanley, a preeminent wealth advising team in downtown Chicago. For the past 30​ years, he and his team have applied first-class knowledge and service in delivering wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families. This management is blended with financial planning, tax sensitivity and estate planning strategies that help ensure every piece of the client's financial puzzle is working harmoniously. From a humble start three decades ago, his private wealth business has steadily expanded to more than $1.4 billion in assets under his management as of February 2019.

Silich's leadership has resulted in numerous media interviews, including appearances on MSNBC, CNBC and Bloomberg television. He has been quoted in Crain's Chicago Business, Smart Money, Chicago Tribune, CS Magazine, Kiplinger's Personal, and other financial publications. Throughout his career, Silich has garnered accolades. From 2009 to 2020, he has been recognized on Barron's list of top 1,200 financial advisors. He was also named to Forbes's Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list in 2018 to 2020.

In addition to a commitment to success in his professional life, Silich participates in the community in many facets and has a passion for helping others. Since 1992, he has been a champion of DePaul University, his alma mater. He serves on the Finance Advisory Board at the Driehaus College of Business, which supports curriculum development, graduate placement and bridge-building with the corporate community, and the Driehaus Center for Behavioral Finance's Advisory Board. Silich also serves on the University Development Committee. As an instructor, Silich teaches Finance 396, an undergraduate honors business class. In 2014, he was named the Finance Department's Alumnus of the Year. Silich supports the Financial Advisory Board's scholarship fund and endowed a Driehaus College of Bu​siness scholarship fund in the name of the Silich Family.
