Biography
Joe Hicks focuses on energy regulation, corporate compliance, energy infrastructure development, litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state public utilities commissions, and federal courts. Prior to joining Venable, Joe was an attorney at a prominent international law firm. He has also served as regulatory counsel for electric utilities, natural gas suppliers, and crude oil pipelines. Joe graduated, cum laude, from Emory University School of Law, where he was an articles editor of the Emory Law Journal. He holds an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Emory University.
