Hertie School of Governance

Jonas Markgraf is a Doctoral Student at the Hertie School of Governance and Research Associate to Professor Mark Hallerberg in the research project “Public Finance through Public Banks”. His research focuses on corporate governance of banks and the effect of politically connected banks on political processes. He holds an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained a BA in Political Science and Economics from the Freie Universität Berlin. Jonas has worked as a research and teaching assistant, and as a Carlo-Schmid fellow and consultant at the International Trade Centre (ITC).
