As a former CEO I work with entrepreneurial-minded business founders and CEO's to prepare them for growth including making direct investments as well as helping them to work through important issues both professionally and with respect to their business, with a particular emphasis on accelerating performance, innovation, growth. I listen well, am a quick assimilator of information, and can often help steer discussions into new, interesting and valuable directions, with embedded Innovation being a key strategic driver.

I operate as a change, innovation and growth strategist for healthcare provider companies of all kinds. This is done by working with healthcare leaders on their challenges as well as facilitating peer mentoring meetings to help these leaders to make better decisions. I have a specialist area of focus on seniors and home care.

I also work with healthcare provider CEOs (start up and later stage) to help them to optimize business performance in one or more of the four realms of Prospects, Processes, People and Profits.

Finally, I work with senior executives to design tailor-made programs and systems and organizational design approaches which help people to become better leaders.

Underpinning all of the above, I believe that:

• the top job of a CEO and senior leadership team is to ask insightful questions. I seek to help evolve this skill and to assist in creating the reflective room to be effective. • a great leader creates a climate in which people can do their best work. Leadership is then fundamentally about providing direction and then getting out of people’s way. • real learning and change can best be obtained by tapping into the wisdom of people and teams of people external to a business so as to better shape business strategy.

Specialties: My career has included senior roles in investment, marketing, business development, operations, logistics, finance, HR, and engineering/technology with a role as CEO or COO in my last five organizations.
