Eli Broad College of Business
Professor Wagner received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana. His primary research interests concern organizational behavior and organization theory, and include research on the effects of size, participation, and collectivism on performance and cooperation in the workplace. Professor Wagner has published in journals such as the Administrative Science Quarterly, the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He is an associate editor of the Administrative Science Quarterly and has served on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Review. Professor Wagner belongs to the Academy of Management and the Decision Sciences Institute. He was a recipient, in 1989, of the Scholarly Achievement Award given by the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management, and in 1993 he received the Walter de Gruyter Best Paper Award presented by the Academy of Management's Research Methods Division. He is also a recipient of the John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowed Teacher-Scholar Award.
