Biography
John Ullmen, Ph.D., is a Continuing Lecturer at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has taught for 10+ years across the MBA, FEMBA, EMBA and Executive Education programs.
Several of the world''s leading executive search firms ask him to coach senior leaders they assess and place in organizations around the world.
Over the past two decades, he has coached hundreds of leaders across a wide range of Fortune 500 firms and industry leaders in technology, media, entertainment, consumer products, healthcare, biotech, finance, banking, real estate, professional services, construction, defense and government.
His most recent book, Real Influence: Persuade Without Pushing and Gain Without Giving In, was selected as one of the ''Top 30 Books in Business'' of the year by the leading business executive summary firm, and is in print around the world in many languages.
His video programs on Lynda.com have hit #1 (out of thousands of other programs) and been selected for featured lists. Programs include: Communication Fundamentals; Influencing Others; Executive Leadership Fundamentals; and Developing Executive Presence.
He is a frequent speaker on leadership, influence and executive presence for organizations and business events.
John began his career as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a lead systems engineer for a top-secret global Joint Chiefs of Staff intelligence program.
