Georgia Tech Professional Education

John Rahiya is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over twenty-five years of experience in developing high performing teams and teaching thousands of project managers globally. John’s project journey began at Equifax, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia where he served in various leadership roles creating new products and services and leading cross-functional teams. This valuable experience led to an intensive ten year consulting position with Project Management Services, Inc. (PMSI) and Boston-based Provant, which became Novations Group Inc. John was the Practice Vice President, Project Management, for Novations. During this time, John led strategic projects for Prudential Insurance Company, Deluxe Corporation, BellSouth (now AT&T), CheckFree, and the US Forest Service.

For the past six years, John has been a full time instructor, coach and mentor. He has delivered project management training around the world. His focus is on developing project manager technical, leadership and communication skills. He speaks frequently at PMI Chapter meetings and other organizations and enjoys writing about project management issues. John is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He served 3 years in the Army and was decorated for his service in Vietnam.
