Jian He

Biography

Jian received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry with highest honors from Zhejiang University, where he conducted research under the direction of Prof. Shengming Ma. In 2011, he moved to the Scripps Research Institute to pursue his graduate studies under the supervision of Prof. Jin-Quan Yu. After completing a two-year appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. Jonas C. Peters at Caltech, Jian joined the faculty at The University of Hong Kong in August of 2019. His research interests lie at the interface of organometallic chemistry, organic synthesis, catalysis, synthetic biology, and materials science. Outside of the lab, Jian enjoys eating delicious food, watching movies, and travelling with his wife and parents.
