Boston University

He is currently serving as an assistant professor at Boston University and holds the position of Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. His research primarily focuses on examining issues related to fraud, misreporting, and overbilling in public expenditures, with a special emphasis on the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Additionally, he investigates the impact of these fraudulent activities on public spending and the health outcomes of patients. His research interests extend to the identification and prevention of fraud and corruption, as well as the statistical characteristics of inaccurately reported data. His work is situated at the crossroads of various fields, including public economics, health economics, political economy, and law and economics.
