Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics

Dr. Bennett earned his Ph.D. in sociology and M.B.A. and M.S. in organizational change from Georgia State University after completing his B.A. in sociology at the University of Georgia. He was formerly director of graduate and college transfer programs and assistant professor for the Baker School of Business at The Citadel, where he oversaw the first program rankings of the online M.B.A. (88th), part-time M.B.A. (89th) and online B.B.A. (19th) by U.S News & World Report. Dr. Bennett also served as director of the M.B.A. program at the University of North Georgia and dean of business, dean of North Fulton and interim dean of art and design for Gwinnett Technical College. He has served on the board of directors for the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Greater Alpharetta Tech Network, Alpharetta Technology Commission, North Atlanta Football League, Cambridge High Feeder Program, Greater Charleston YMCA, Charleston Talent Advancement Cabinet, and as a Business Advocacy Champion for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Bennett currently serves on the workforce development committee for the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. He is co-authoring a textbook on leadership and public policy that will be published later this year.
