Biography

UW Professional & Continuing Education

Jenny Williams is a writer and content strategist with more than 10 years of global storytelling experience in tech, higher ed, international development and publishing. She has spent the last three years as a UX writer at Google, where she leads accessibility and communications efforts across a 350+ person UX team. Previously she managed executive communications at California State University, Fullerton, one of the largest and most diverse public universities in the U.S. In addition, Williams has consulted on content for a range of clients including Amazon, International Rescue Committee, Washington Environmental Council and Matador Network.

Williams is also a novelist. Her debut novel, The Atlas of Forgotten Places, was published by St. Martin’s Press and praised as “Nothing short of astonishing” by Ghanaian author Kwei Quartey. Jenny studied English at UC Berkeley and earned an MFA in fiction at Brooklyn College.
