Biography
Kelley School of Business
After 9 years as an adjunct lecturer at the IU School of Journalism teaching a dozen different core courses, I proudly moved across campus to join the faculty at the Kelley School of Business, one of IU's proudest and most prestigious schools. I teach C204 Business Communications, a required course in all undergraduate business majors' communications sequence.
I was a hotel manager for Omni Hotels for a dozen years between 1983 and 1994, with prior stints for Sheraton and Holiday Inn. Between 1995 and 2003 I was a full-time recording artist and touring songwriter on the national folk music circuit, during which time I also worked as a free-lance magazine writer. I began teaching journalism at IU in the Spring of 2004, and never looked back!
