Assistant Dean


Jeff Melton, a native of West Texas, is the Assistant Dean of Development at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin since October 2009. He successfully led the school’s portion of the university’s $3 billion campaign raising $280 million which exceeded the $225 million goal. Jeff has been in development at UT for almost 16 years, and in addition to McCombs, has worked for the Cockrell School of Engineering, the Harry Ransom Center, and the University Development Office. Prior to coming to UT, he served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement at Texas Tech University. Jeff has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University. He and his wife Becky have two middle school aged children.
