Biography

ince the Y2K and the 9/11 turns, Jean-Pierre's main focus and continuous commitment have always been on corporate resilience, enterprise-wide risk management, corporate security (especially cybersecurity) and crisis management.

Having started his career in 1979 as a commanding officer in the Air Special Forces and as an armament engineer in the aeronautics/aerospace sector (MoD/ DGA/DPAé), JP has then been committed for more than 15 years to very high-performance computing and advanced telecommunication technology (HPCN), especially at Cray Research Inc. (USA) and later at Digital Equip. Corp. (USA & Europe).

In 1995, JP was elected by the Swiss Government as the managing director of the Swiss national Centre for Scientific Computing (ETHZ/CSCS Manno+Zurich) that he led for years on the difficult path of New Public Management.

Then, in 1999 having joined the financial and banking sector (Pictet & Cie Group, Switzerland), JP spent 20 years in various responsibilities including Global Head of Security and Business Continuity (GCSO) and Head of Technology Risks (Executive Vice President).

Since February, 2020, JP is the Managing Partner of Corporate Resilience Advisors Ltd in Geneva, an advisory company fully committed to corporate technology risk and especially resilience management.

A regular speaker at major international conferences in risk management, corporate security and business continuity, JP is also a distinguished security advisor for governmental institutions and also private companies. Incidentally he is an Associate Fellow, Global Fellowship Initiative, at the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) and a member of the State of Geneva 's Council for Security.

Since 2004, JP also teaches as a university lead lecturer at the University of Geneva (i.e. HEC Executive and then GSEM as well as at the Institute for Global Studies), at the University for Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO i.e. HEG Geneva, HEIG-VD Yverdon) and at the Police Academy (Savatan).
