Biography

Jean-François Pilliard regularly shares his experience and expertise in human resource management in HEC Executive Education courses he teaches or coordinates (Jean-François Pilliard co-directs the Executive Master "Management Stratégique des Ressources Humaines"). After four years with the pharmaceutical group Roussel Uclaf, Jean-François Pilliard joined SFENA (an aeronautics and computer parts manufacturer) in 1969, first as Director of Personnel, later as Director of Human Resources and Secretary of the Board of Directors. In 1988, he returned to the pharmaceutical industry as Director of Human Resources and Communication of CIBA France. He was also a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

From 1997 to 2008, Jean-François Pilliard was Director of Strategic Human Resources and Organisation of Schneider Electric and a member the Board of Directors of the company.

Since June 2008, Jean-François Pilliard is Managing Director of the French Union of the Metallurgical Industry (UIMM), a professional association representing companies in the metallurgical sector.

Jean-François Pilliard holds a Master''s degree in Law.
